Each person must have a clear DBS or criminal records check to be employed on the programme. Our staff bring diverse talents, experience and creativity to the programme.
Amy English Language Teacher
TEFL English Teaching certificate; Bachelor of Education, Monash Australia
Amy has taught ESL English, Maths and Literacy to special needs pupils in London UK. She has travelled extensively and volunteered as a teacher in numerous community projects in Australia, Thailand and South Africa. She is an accomplished Swimming and Dance instructor and Sports Coach. Amy has danced since the age of 10, including Ballroom, Jazz, and Ballet. She likes to integrate dance and music into her classroom, when appropriate, to nurture alternative learning styles. She holds various life-saving certificates.
Elise English Language Teacher
TEFL English Teaching Certificate; Diploma in Fine Art, Boston USA
Elise has over 10 years experience teaching English as a foreign language, working with children, teenagers and adults. She has worked as a Teacher and Education adviser in the United States, in Andorra, Mexico, Argentina and Italy in both private and public institutions. Her other interests include visual arts and horses.
Jessica English Language Teacher
TEFL English Teaching certificate; BA hons degree in Fine Art, Canterbury, UK
Jessica has taught all aspects of the English language to both children and adults. She has worked at various language institutions both in the UK and in Spain. She strongly believes in using the pedagogical approach with her students, using her creative talents and life experiences to enhance their learning experience. In her spare time, Jessica likes to draw and paint.
Muslima English Language Teacher
CELTA English Teaching certificate; BA Business and Marketing, Sunderland, UK
Muslima has worked with international students for 3 years as an English instructor and tutor.. She has taught English and Chess at the British International School. She has received several awards for excellence in Chess, Mathematics and History. Her other passions include English Literature, Football and other sports.
Sara English Language Teacher
English Teaching Certificate (TEFL/TESL/TESOL); BA degree in Art, Dar es Salaam
Sara is currently a primary school teacher and English tutor. She specializes in using creative methods to inspire children and to fire their imagination. She is fluent in Swahili, also studied French and Spanish. Her many interests include music and nature walks. She plays soccer, volleyball and likes to swim. During her spare time she likes drawing and painting. She also spends a lot of time looking after her cat.
Irini English Language Teacher
TESOL English Teaching Certificate; BA English and Hispanic Studies, Sheffield UK
Irini has taught English as a foreign language to teenagers/young adults at secondary schools and further education institutions in the UK. Her work includes preparing students for the ESB/ESOL and TOEIC exams in English and for the AQA GCSE. She is an editor/proofreader of English language teaching materials and publications. She is a translator and interpreter, fluent in Greek and Spanish. She has an interest in Environmental Science, and has also taught Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. She has volunteered at refuge centres in the UK.
Ekin Camp Counsellor
English College Diploma
Ekin is studying Industrial Product Design at university. She likes to focus on self-improvement in her spare time. She is a technology and design enthusiast. Sport is her next favourite hobby. She likes to read and to sketch landscapes and architecture, especially to remember the incredible places that she has visited. She has a keen interest in learning new languages and experiencing World cultures.
Deniz Camp Counsellor

Deniz is studying Urban Planning at University. She likes to travel and to discover new cultures and languages. Her favourite free time activities are reading books, watching films and theatre. She is active at student clubs, and experienced in organizing events and excursions. She enjoys swimming, hiking and modern music,
Christine Programme Co-ordinator,
TEFL English teaching certificate, ILM Diploma in Leadership & Management, London, UK
Christine has been a medical education manager in the United Kingdom for the past 10 years. In her spare time she tutors English to individual students. She holds TAQA vocational assessors certificate (UK). Her interests include current affairs, History and travel, cooking, gardening and couture. She supports various charities in the UK and the developing world.
Mihaela Programme Co-ordinator
Bachelor degree in World Economics; MBA specialising in Hotel Management, Sofia, Bulgaria
Mihaela has over 35 years experience as a hotel and events manager and tour organiser, both in the corporate and social sphere. She has met many people through her work, and her aim is always to make them feel welcome and happy. Mihaela has travelled to over 60 countries and has experienced diverse cultures and traditions. When she is not immersed in her work, she likes to meet friends and attend musical concerts. She swims daily, likes walking in the park and plays the occasional computer game.
Kate Trainee/Intern

Kate and her family have spent their summer holidays at the ELACP camp for the past 4 years, learning English together on our family programme. Kate is now fluent in English and joins us this year for an internship in drama and activities leadership. She loves to meet new people and to learn about their life experiences and culture. Her hobbies include playing the guitar, photography and roller-blading. She is interested in journalism and is honing her writing skills by reporting for her school website. Her favourite subjects are English, Literature and Geography. Kate has also played the lead role in quite a few amateur drama productions.
Anastasia Trainee/Intern

Anastasia is completing her high school studies and hopes to become a teacher in the future. In 2015 and 2016 she attended the ELACP summer camp in Bulgaria. This year she returns for an internship as a drama and activities leader. Anastasia has a special interest in Drama and Theatre and has studied some classic English plays at school. She has voluntereed to assist younger children at a drama workshop in her home town. She enjoys reading detective novels, especially Sherlock Holmes mysteries. She plays the guitar and ukelele in her spare time, amongst many other hobbies.

Yazeed Hakami
As expected, this was a very difficult decision because of the high quality of our students for 2019. Yazeed was finally nominated . He had shown constant dedication to his lessons. He participated in all activities with enthusiasm. He assisted his teachers in the classroom and during activty sessions. He was always polite and reliable. He was a good example to his peers. It was a pleasure to have Yazeed at the ELACP camp.
