LONDON SUMMER CAMP

LONDON SUMMER CAMP

Seven or Fourteen Days in London - an unforgettable experience

The purpose of the programme is to familiarise students with the way of life in the United Kingdom, and to promote cultural exchange.  It includes accommodation and full board. It combines educational and recreational activities, with visits to civic centres and iconic monuments, and participation in youth and community groups. This is a chance for students to experience the various aspects of everyday life in London, as well as learn about English History, Religion, Literature and Art and popular culture.   The schedule also includes specially designed English lessons and drama workshop to improve English Language skills.  You will visit the most famous landmarks in London and share in its cultural diversity.

GREENWICH, LONDON
The programme is based in Royal Greenwich, a town of great significance in English History.  It is the birth

place of kings and the former home of Queen Elizabeth I.  The town features the magnificent Greenwich Park, 180 acres of landscaped gardens, with manicured flower displays, a lake and deer park. Greenwich borders on the River Thames, and only a short boat ride from Westminster.  It is famous for its maritime connections, both historical and current. Here you can visit many museums, heritage buildings and antique markets, and bask in the cultural ambience.  In north Greenwich, you can wonder at world famous landmarks, such as the Thames Barrier, the Millenium Dome and the Emirates Air Line or walk under the Thames River through the Brunel tunnel, a showpiece of Victorian engineering.
