This year the ELACP summer camp was in Kranevo, a lovely village on the beach, not too far from Varna. This year the camp was truly international, with participants from various countries in Europe. We spent the month of July having lots of fun, as usual.
Of course our focus was on learning the English Language. There was intense studying in the classroom. Students of all ages concentrated hard on practising reading, writing and speaking English. There was remarkable improvement in the students’ English over the four weeks. The drama classes performed The Lion King and The Sword in the Stone (the legend of King Arthur). The singing was amazing!
This year there were several excursions, including Balchik Palace and Botanical Gardens, Varna Sea Gardens, Kaliakra Cliffs, Happy Land Theme Park, Albena Water Park, Varna Eco-Park, and more….
There were many new activities, including Still Life Drawing and Fashion Class in English! The long sunny days were also spent visiting the beach, or swimming in the outdoor pool, having ice cream on the beach. The only sad moment was when we all had to leave.
There was not a dull moment in camp. Such excitement, from the moment of arrival to the hour of departure. There was perfect interaction between students and teachers and a great atmosphere. This year there were more family groups. As usual the hospitality was welcoming and generous. The food was fantastic.
We had our first Talent Competition, named 'ELACP has got Talent'. This was a time for students to show off their talents in Singing, Dancing, Music, Poetry and Comedy. The winner of the Competition was Jordan from Ruse.
